Wodonga’s Craig Widdison was the standout, coming up trumps in races two (Mr Fergus), four (Lord Laurie) and six (Fish Bones Fry).
Mansfield’s Gerald Egan took out race one with Richwaite Lady and Nick Olive’s Dylan’s Deeva controlled race three from start to finish to win well.
The Peter-Morgan trained Bulala was a heavily-backed winner in race five, while Luke Pepper’s Iltextya caused an upset in the final race of the day.
Meanwhile, several Wangaratta trainers tasted success on their home track during Saturday’s twilight meeting.
Smuggling recorded its first career victory for Renee Hoysted in race two, Get Ya Kicks won for James Fraser in the third, Steve Cunningham’s Doogans Rise grabbed race four, while Adrian Corboy claimed the last of the six-race program with Baradine Boy.
