Members of Falcons’ division two premiership side this year, Matthew Porter and Ryan Daly will travel to the US and Barbados as part of the Wanderers Australia tour next month.
The pair fly out on January 10 and will spend the first leg of the trip in Los Angeles, before heading to Barbados and returning on February 1 after a few days in New York.
Porter finished school this year and saw the tour as a great opportunity to see the sights whilst playing hockey.
“Ryan is the only bloke on the tour I will know, so it’s a good way to meet people from around Australia as well,” Porter said.
Trips to Disneyland and Universal Studios, as well seeing NBA and NHL matches are among the highlights.
Meanwhile, Hockey Albury-Wodonga juniors Eryn Norie, Oscar Smart and Eden Davis have all been selected in Victorian under 18s squads.
Final teams will be picked in February.
