Heywood will take a team of six horses to Albury and believes Event is his best chance of the day.
The four-year-old mare will be looking for her first win in the Leigh Martin Marine Maiden Plate (1600m).
“I would probably say Event is my best, but I don’t want to put the mock on her,” Heywood said with a laugh.
“It looks the right race for her.
“She’s had seven starts for two seconds, two thirds and two fourths. It’s just going to be a matter of time and picking the right race, and on paper this is.
“Plus she’s raced well at Albury before.”
Mathew Cahill will take the ride on Event from barrier five.
Heywood also expects a strong showing from Not Too Sure in the Davidson White Accountants Benchmark 74 Handicap (1400m).
“His last start at Canberra it was just the track bias that beat him. He was still getting home,” he said.
“It wouldn’t surprise me (if he won). The form around him is good.”
Heywood also expects Serious Charge and Nothing to be around the mark in the Southern Asset Services Maiden Handicap (1175m).
“Serious Charge should run an improved race, but I would have liked a better gate,” he said.
“Nothing has drawn a good gate, but the 1175 might be the teller.”
Cahill rides Event, Serious Charge and Sikum for Heywood, while Richard Bensley will be on Not Too Sure, Nothing and Mrs Arbuckle.
