Temperatures are tipped to hit 41 degrees, but given the absence of those grades, CAW’s most extreme heat policy measure will only be enforced if it rises to 43 degrees.
“There’s three levels to our heat policy and if it reaches 43, all cricket is off,” CAW chairman Michael Erdeljac said.
“The next level down is from 40 to 42 and, if that’s the case, it means extra drinks breaks, drinks are allowed on the boundary and, instead of a drinks break every 20 overs, a drinks break will be taken every 10 overs.
“And if any player is distressed at any time, they are allowed to be replaced by another player.”
CAW lost its first matches, due to weather, for the first time in almost three years earlier this season.
Rounds seven and nine were washed out.
Provincial level has five rounds left until finals.
