The event boasts an impressive line-up of Australian and International artists and a full orchestra, conducted by one of the country’s most talented and entertaining music directors, Guy Noble.
One of the world’s best emerging young tenors, Vincent was the only classical artist in Australian history to have released six albums by the age of 20.
Vincent won Australia’s Got Talent in 2009 and captivated the audience with his moving rendition of Puccini’s Nessun Dorma.
He signed with Sony Music and sold more than half a million albums worldwide.
In 2016, Julie Andrews chose Vincent to play Freddy, Eliza Doolittle’s love interest, in her direction of My Fair Lady at the Sydney Opera House.
He starred in the Brisbane production of the musical and will perform in Melbourne during May.
Australia’s most extraordinary instrumentalist James Morrison will return to the region for Opera in the Alps.
Besides the trumpet, this multi-instrumentalist also plays piano, all the brass, saxophones, and double bass.
Young Australian soprano taking Europe by storm, Anna Voshege is a regular concert soloist with the Vienna Baroque and Classic Orchestra in Palais Schonborn, the Vienna Residence Orchestra in Konzerthaus Vienna and Palais Auersperg, the Vienna Mozart Orchestra in the Vienna Musikverein and Vienna State Opera as well as Tutti Mozart.
Opera in the Alps is set on the Beechworth Golf Course under magnificent gum trees, where patrons will be treated to the best of opera and music theatre together with a 70 voiced chorus.
Each year there is a musical surprise in store.
Three young opera scholars will compete for 2018 Opera Scholar of the Year and $5000 prizemoney at the start of the concert.
