Samuel Richard Sammut had been forming love heart signs with his hands and smiling to family members through a video link to Junee jail on Friday.
But after magistrate Tony Murray denied him bail on serious charges including aggravated break and enter and detention for advantage, the 27-year-old threw a chair and slammed a door before leaving the room.
Police allege the incident stemmed from a Facebook argument earlier in the day about responsible dog ownership.
He will return to court on March 12.
