After a 62-19 defeat at the hands of the South Australian Sharks on day one of the under 14s girls competition, Albury-Wodonga put in much-improved displays against the South Australian Wombats and Victorian Bushrangers.
The Border side went down to the Wombats 49-33, with Sienna Harvey leading the scoring with 10 points.
In the afternoon, the Bushrangers held off Albury-Wodonga, 54-27.
Harvey again reached double figures with 12 points, while Tamara Gorman and Elizabeth Murphy both finished with six.
