The $3.60 favourite broke clear of his rivals in the straight and had three-quarters of a length to spare over Mr Churchill ($14).
Trainer Craig Widdison was delighted with the run.
“The horse keeps improving every time,” Widdison said.
“He’s building up a pretty good record with four from nine and three of them have been in town.
“He’s pretty versatile.
“He’s won from leading, won sitting on the pace and won from last as well.
“There was no pace on Saturday, they left him alone up front, and it was a great ride by Craig (Williams).
“He was always going to be hard to catch from that position.”
Willi Willi won twice in town during his previous preparation, including the Silver Bowl Series Final (1600m) at Flemington in July, and the four-year-old was having his third run back from a spell on Saturday.
He was stepping up from 1400m to 1800m.
Widdison is unsure how far the galloper will improve.
“I’m not sure exactly but I think he’ll measure up to LIsted Class,” he said.
“You could think the Albury Cup will fit in nicely with this stage of his career.
“If you could get to an Albury Cup and happen to win, then you might think he could continue to improve from there.”
Widdison is set to take several runners to Benalla on Wednesday and Wagga on Friday.
