Despite missing key trio Sophie McLeod, Elyse Boyer and Sally Lefoe due to NSW Country commitments at the state under-18 championships in Sydney, the in-form line-up had enough talent in reserve to clinch a comfortable win.
Olivia Bahr and Sarah O’Brien scored three goals each while goalkeeper Tabitha McDonald stepped up from B grade and played well.
Pool Pirates surged ahead after half-time to defeat Northside 15-5 with promising youngster Mia Duryea in good form.
In men’s A-grade, Shannon Gould starred in Sharks’ 13-11 victory over Albury Tigers.
Gould was impossible to stop in attack with the Ovens and Murray stalwart proving the difference between the sides with eight goals.
There will be no A-grade matches next weekend due to the NSW Country Club Championships at Newcastle.
