The association newcomers destroyed fellow first-timers Lavington by 92 runs.
The home side raced through the Panthers’ top and middle-order, leaving the visitors reeling at 6-20.
But number eight Ash Lafferty added some respectability with 57 as the team was skittled for only 115 from 52.2 overs.
Captain Jarred Lane was quizzed if it was the club’s best performance since leaving Wangaratta and District after last season.
“Probably yeah, it would be pretty close to it,” he said.
“We were pretty happy with the way things went.”
Lafferty featured in the team’s biggest partnership, for the 10th wicket, of 32 with Noah Hollard, who was playing his first game of the season.
But the damage was done in the first hour.
“Yeah definitely, 100 per cent, we knew being hot and the wicket was pretty flat last week, after the first hour or so, we needed to get a few wickets with the new ball,” Lane said.
“Otherwise, it could have been a long day.”
Nathan Rhodes was the pick of the attack with 3-16 from 11.2 overs.
“’Rhodesy’s’ pretty accurate, he’s able to swing the ball both ways,” Lane said.
“With that new ball, it’s pretty crucial to get it moving because once it gets older, it can be hard work on a hot day.”
Meanwhile, Howlong toppled Mount Beauty.
Defending its 181, Mt Beauty was unable to stop a superb century stand for the seventh wicket.
Number eight Tim Seymour (56 not out) and Carl Walton (58no) produced a 111-run stand to guide Howlong to only its third win.
Kiewa is still winless after falling to Wodonga.
Wodonga declared on 8-166 on the opening day, with Kiewa posting just 115 from 47.4 overs.
Scott Goodwin top-scored with 39.
Baranduda cruised past Eskdale’s 135.
Top-order batsman Rohan Pearce (70) and number six Aidan Ryan (53) guided the team to 7-240.
And Yackandandah hammered Bethanga.
Yackandandah was defending its bumper total of 285 and Andrew Lockett (3-25) played his role with the ball as Bethanga was decimated for 95.
Forced to follow on, the visitors were 4-100.
Top teams Wodonga and Dederang will now meet in a crackerjack round 12 clash.
