Kennedy was struck while fielding for the Bulldogs in their big win over New City on Saturday, with officials initially fearing the worst.
“They reckon it’s just bruised,” captain Jack Craig said.
“We might give him a game off to get it right but that would be it.
“It bruised up pretty quick but it’s okay.”
Kennedy has taken 14 wickets in just six matches this season, sharing the new ball with leading CAW wicket-taker Byron Hales.
The Bulldogs are sitting in second position with three rounds remaining and take on Wodonga Raiders, East Albury and North Albury in the run home.
The ladder is: Lavington 72.90, Wodonga 71.91, Tallangatta 61.52, New City 60.94, Belvoir 59.30, East Albury 56.01, North Albury 54.78, St Patricks 46.75, Albury 32.93, Wodonga Raiders 29.30.
