Peter Forck’s side had a 22-14 triumph against Jim Lee, Dave Trebley squared the ledger for Culcairn with a 19-14 result against Gary Kern, while Glen Harrison and Terry Hensel’s outfits were tied at 14-14.
North Albury beat Lavington, 66-44, while Howlong toppled Commercial, 60-47.
The grade three ladder after round five is: North Albury 46.5, Howlong 38, Henty 28, Lavington 20, Culcairn 15, Commercial 2.5.
Commercial (63) beat North Albury (62) in grade four, with Henty (64) too strong for Holbrook (51).
In grade five, Howlong (65) took down Lavington (52), North Albury (65) edged out Oaklands (63), Culcairn (67) had its first win against Rand (56), while Walla (77) was too good for Commercial (47).
North Albury Green, Henty, North Albury Yellow and Holbrook all won in grade six.
