Hume Bank has launched an active band to coincide with the City2City run-walk later in February. Chief Customer Officer, Andrew de Graaff, said he’s excited to see customers wearing the bands at the event.
“Having the Hume active band connected to their essential account they’re able to participate in the run-walk and at the other end not have to worry about fishing around for wallets and credit cards,” he said.
“With regards to businesses themselves it’s providing another mechanism to allow businesses to receive payments as well as customers who want to make payments conveniently and easily in a way that suits their lifestyle.
“The future is bright for this kind of technology but whether it's a wrist band or any other kind of technology, this is just one contributing factor.”
The Hume active band is water proof and can be used anywhere that accepts PayWave.
