The popular personality on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow program has been invited to the Border as part the local Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society’s lecture program.
During a long career in the world of art and antiques, Atterbury has been a collector, writer, lecturer, exhibition curator and presenter and has owned, handled and talked about tens of thousands of objects.
As part of what is set to be a highly entertaining lecture, the bubbly broadcaster will discuss what eight items he would take with him if he were cast away on a desert island.
His selection of objects will reveal much about his life, memories, passions, opinions and adventures on the roadshow.
There will be pre-lecture drinks from 6pm with the lecture to begin at 6.30pm at HotHouse Theatre on the Lincoln Causeway.
