An Albury man went to bed Saturday night not knowing he was a millionaire, despite checking his lottery ticket before bed.

“I glanced at the numbers on Saturday night, but didn’t think they were my numbers so just went to bed,” he told a NSW Lottery official.
“On Sunday I was having breakfast and I started circling my numbers and when I looked at the bottom row, I’ve gone ‘I’ve got this’.
“They just jumped out at me!
“I thought ‘you’re kidding me. Oh my god. $1.5 million!’.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the windfall was “absolutely life changing”.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for about seven years,” he said.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was yahooing and carrying on!
“It was very exciting.”
He said the windfall was “absolutely life changing” and has vowed to build his dream home and help out his family after winning $1.5 million on Saturday.

The man’s entry was one of 14 division one winning entries across Australia.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 18-game entry at newsXpress Lavington Square Cards and Gifts.
newsXpress staff member Robin Jones said the outlet was celebrating selling another division one winning entry.
“It’s been a while since our last one so we thought we were due,” she laughed.
“It’s always great when our customers win!”
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 276 so far this financial year, including 90 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
