Wodonga Softball Club’s Joanna Garoni, Gabby Henderson, Baylee Butterworth, Vickie Halley, Sarah McNabb, Grace Young, Comets’ young guns Milly Hogan, Rachel Warren and Steph Adams, along with Elyce Tolley and Julia Ball from Bears Softball Club, were part of the under 15s girls side that finished runner-up in the cup final held at Casey Association in Melbourne.
The girls were placed in the cup division due to finishing second last year, but went on to win three out of four games, with only a narrow loss to the top-placed Northern District Softball Association.
Meanwhile, the boys were plate champions after finishing first in their pool.
Max Garoni, Ben Jones, Cam Jones, Damien French, Riley Whiting, Matt Ross, Jim Lawson, Hamish Leslie (Wodonga Softball Club), Jonte Craig, Dylan Robertson, (Comets Softball Club) Ben Lacey and Xavier Davis (Bears Softball Club) made up the squad.
