Mick Harrison has claimed the opening stage of the Tour de Riverina after producing a strong finish to take out The Rock Classic on Sunday.

In a race dominated by Tolland Cycle Club, Harrison edged out Shane Lenon and Cameron Oke to take victory.
Lenon is a relative newcomer to the sport and also coaches Marrar.
The second group caught those on the limit late in the 75 kilometre race, where Harrison took out a bunch finish.
Tolland’s Kylie Johnston was the first woman to finish, while Peter Treloar claimed the fastest time of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 51 seconds.
There was 53 riders contest the opening leg of the series and Wagga cycling legend Barry O’Hagan was pleased with how the event went.
“It was a good day,” O’Hagan said.
“The first two bunches got together with about 2.5 kilometres to go. The next three bunches were together but failed to catch them.”
Albury-Wodonga Panthers Cycling Club will host round four on April 29.
