The Panthers secured all 10 points during the 68-34 victory.
Adrian Pantling accounted for Terry Hensel, 19-15, Brian Linehan was too strong for Dave Trebley, 23-14, while Vic Moore's rink thrashed Jim Lee, 26-5.
Grade three leaders North Albury were taken the distance by bottom-placed Commercial, but scraped their way to a 60-54 victory.
Norm Honey’s 26-13 salute against David Barnes saved the day for the Hoppers, while the other two rinks went the way of Commercial.
Darryl Coventry edged out Stephen Broad, 17-15, and Bernie Mahlo defeated Allen Ross’ side, 24-19.
Howlong clung to second spot with a thrilling one-shot victory against Henty at Howlong.
The Spiders were buoyed by a 26-13 triumph for John Dawson’s men against the quartet skipped by Gary Kern.
Henty won the remaining rinks with Peter Forck upstaging Phil Slater, 22-13, while Glen Harrison pipped Ian Doolan, 20-19, but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat for the Swampies by the barest of margins.
The grade three ladder after round seven is as follows: North Albury 63.5 (+118), Howlong 47 (+30), Henty 39 (-3), Lavington 31 (-21), Culcairn 24 (-31), Commercial 5.5 (-93).
