Highway patrol Sergeant Michael Connors said about 3am on Tuesday a B-double came off the road just south of the Bowser Road interchange and collided with the wire rope barrier.
“It continued for 500 metres, damaging the wire rope barrier, and has rolled onto its left-hand side,” he said.
“A 70-year-old driver from NSW was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
“There was no evidence of alcohol or drugs in his system.
“Police are still carrying out investigations into whether there was a distraction, but can confirm no other vehicle involved.”
The lane remained closed until about midday as the truck was recovered.
