It has been played for more than 40 years after the Hume Country Tennis Association home and away season.
Bungowannah, a small farming community about 15 kilometres west of Albury along the Riverina Highway, is supported mostly by Albury-Wodonga residents who enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of country tennis.
Defending section one men’s winners Ben Newton and Sean Stuchbery will be back in action, while the women’s event is wide open, with 2017 champions Alison Eaton and Nicola Smith unlikely to team up again.
The tournament includes men’s and women’s doubles sections for all grades of players.
Play starts at 9am on Sunday, March 4, with a cooked breakfast available from 8.30am, as well as lunch, drinks and afternoon tea during the day.
Entries close on Friday, March 2 and can be lodged with Greg (0417 247 398) and Simon (0419 230 319) or by emailing shannarogers@bigpond.com.
