The detectives, Wodonga police and the NSW Police Gangs Squad raided 10 properties on January 30 in connection with members of both the Gypsy Jokers and the Black Uhlans, with several people arrested.
McKenzie, 54, pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court on Tuesday to two counts of possess a prohibited drug.
“The accused has affiliations with the Gypsy Jokers Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, having served 15 years in the club,” police told magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim.
Police went to McKenzie’s house on January 30 about 6am, immediately serving him with the prohibition order.
Ten minutes later they found two small resealable plastic bags, one with 15 grams of cannabis and the other with two grams “of a white powder substance”.
The search was then suspended while police applied for and were granted a crime scene warrant.
“During this search an archery bow was located in the wardrobe of the main bedroom,” police said, the item subject to “further inquiries”.
Police also found Gypsy Jokers clothing.
McKenzie was interviewed about four hours later, but “declined to answer questions”.
Mr Abdul-Karim convicted and fined McKenzie $500 on each of the charges.
