Employment provides many social benefits for individuals and the community, says recruitment agency The Personnel Group.
CEO Tracey Fraser said finding a well suited job can make all the difference to a person.
“Finding the right job can lead to increased social participation and inclusion, improving skills and/or maintaining independence,” she said.
The local not-for-profit organisation is passionate about finding the right job for people who are registered with them and can provide assistance to two distinct groups of job seekers – young people aged 15 – 21 and people with disability.
“When a person with disability comes to us for job support, we will provide them with an individualised job plan, face to face job search assistance, resume preparation, interview skills and anything else that will help remove barriers to obtaining employment,” said Tracey.
For more than 30 years The Personnel Group have been providing a personalised service for individuals and helping job seekers acquire the skills that will lead them to suitable, ongoing employment.
One of the programs offered is Transition to Work which is designed for 15 to 21 year-olds who have left school before completing Year 12 and are looking for work.
“Our Transition to Work service focuses on creating a personalised career plan to enable individuals to undertake further training to improve confidence and job readiness. We work closely with local employers, promoting our job seekers skills and abilities, incentives and job training support,” said Tracey.
“We have established, strong relationships with employers through honesty, professional advice and sound job matching.
“Our staff are passionate about creating equality in the workplace, ensuring that our job seekers are provided with sound advice and support to lead them to achieving their career goals.”
