Money from the NSW government program, worth $1000 a year, can be used for expenses like text books, course costs and computer equipment.
Member for Albury Greg Aplin encouraged young people to apply for the Family and Community Services scholarships, “which will help our most disadvantaged students get ahead”.
Eligible secondary students include those living in social housing, in crisis or supported accommodation or out-of-home care. To apply visit housing.nsw.gov.au/social-housing/facs-scholarships.
