Culcairn will host the open event, Henty looks after the senior clashes, while the president’s reserve singles will be staged at Oaklands.
The Culcairn combination of Terry Hensel and Darryl Lawson captured the district open pairs title at Holbrook last weekend, defeating North Albury’s Phil Jones and Bob Gough, 22-14.
Hensel and Lawson got off to a fast start to hold a 13-5 lead after nine ends, before the Hoppers’ side pegged it back to 14-14 with four ends to play.
However, the Culcairn pair finished with eight shots unanswered to claim the title, 22-14.
It was only the second time a Culcairn side had won the open pairs.
Commercial’s Albert Allen and John McDonnell proved too strong for the Howlong side of Phil Slater and John Edwards, prevailing 23-16 at Howlong.
Meanwhile, Holbrook has moved within striking distance of Commercial on the grade four pennant ladder after beating them 71-40 at the weekend.
North Albury fell to the bottom of the four-team competition with its 73-45 loss at Henty.
In grade five, Oaklands’ 64-44 loss to Commercial shuffled them from first to third, as North Albury took top spot with its 63-47 triumph over Howlong.
Lavington jumped to second with a comfortable 72-39 victory away to Culcairn, while Rand upset rivals Walla, 74-53, for its first win of the campaign.
Commercial has a narrow advantage in grade six after beating North Albury Yellow, 70-48.
North Albury Green defeated Lavington, 77-46, Holbrook had a 67-47 win away to Howlong, while Walla kept its top-four hopes alive by downing Henty, 76-51.
In grade three pennant fixtures this weekend, Commercial is on the hunt for its first win against Henty, Howlong hosts Lavington, while Culcairn hopes to upset North Albury at Culcairn.
