An armed robbery in an Albury supermarket on Sunday evening is being investigated.

Police said the incident occurred about 7.50pm when a man entered the Wagga Road supermarket in Lavington and threatened staff, claiming he had a gun.
The man grabbed an amount of cash from the cash register and fled the store. No staff members were injured.
Albury Police began inquiries after attending the scene.
The man has been described as Caucasian appearance, with red/ginger coloured hair and beard, between 180 and 185 centimetres tall, with a medium build.
Police said no arrests had been made Sunday night.
