Wonderland Emporium lemonade scones
- 3 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup lemonade
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
Place the flour in a large bowl. Add the cream, lemonade and vanilla bean paste and mix to form a soft dough.
Turn out on to a lightly-floured workbench and knead lightly until combined.
Press the dough with your hands to a thickness of about 2 centimetres.
Use a 6-centimetre round cutter to cut out 8 scones, place on baking tray and brush the tops with some milk.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.
After they have finished cooking wrap them in a tea towel for 5 minutes or so to just finish off steaming nicely.
Serve warm with lemon curd or your favourite jam, whipped cream and a nice cup of tea!
