A 14-year-old boy reported being approached on Urana Road at Jindera about 4pm last Friday.
The teenager said a white Holden Commodore utility driver asked if he wanted a lift near Jelbarts Road.
The boy refused and the man, described as being in his late 50s with brown hair, brown goatee, thin build and bad teeth drove away.
It followed an incident near Short Street at Walla two days earlier where two girls aged 16 and a 17-year-old girl were approached about 7am.
The driver asked the girls if they wanted to look at a dog tag on a dog he had found.
They spotted a white dog in the front seat.
Police are urging people to be vigilant.
