This year’s North East Regional Water Forum will explore the current health of our water, who is managing it, and how climate change is impacting our most precious resource.
The ACT Commissioner for Sustainability and Environment, Professor Kate Auty, and Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder – manager Southern Basin, Hilton Taylor, will be keynote speakers at the forum to be held on March 21 in Wodonga.
North East Catchment Management Authority interim CEO, Tony Long, said the forum would elevate understanding of the cultural, scientific, recreational and commercial values of water, and clarify who looks after what in the water world.
The water forum will bring together the custodians of water across north-east Victoria to discuss how we are managing water quality and water sustainability, and what we as a community can do to secure the future of our water.
