Rob Mautone, one of about 21 people completing The Hunger Ride on Saturday, paused for refreshments from family members who live in Myrtleford.
The corporate cycling challenge, which began and ended at Beechworth, has raised nearly $60,000 so far to support the work of Foodbank Victoria.
Chief executive Dave McNamara, who also rode, said industry relationships, for example through food and transport donations, allowed Foodbank to make the most of every dollar collected.
“It’s almost the equivalent of us being able to now deliver around $500,000 worth of food,” he said.
Mr McNamara said ride conditions were perfect.
“Couldn’t have asked for better, the high country put on a show for us,” he said.
“Gentle breeze most of the time and clear skies and sunshine, it was gorgeous.”
