BRIGHT gin distillery Reed and Co will team up with Billy Button Wines and Mayford Wines for a special High Country experience.
They will make an Il Picco (which means peak, pinnacle), an Alpine Valleys fresh mistelle.
The aperitif will be made from fortified friulano and tempranillo, grape spirit distilled at Reed and Co with local and wild botanicals.
A small batch of 700 bottles (500ml) will be released during the High Country Harvest festival, which runs from May 4 to 20.
A second mistelle will be barrel aged for 12 months before it is released during High Country Harvest in 2019.
Reed and Co Distillery will host a dinner on May 19 based around mistelle cocktails, Remedy Gin and wines from Billy Button and Mayford Wines.
The five-course meal will be matched to drinks.
Reed and Co will also host Cocktail Flight by Autumn Light for an afternoon tipple the same day.
Nibbles will be matched to cocktails for sittings at 3.30pm and 4.45pm.
