BURRUMBUTTOCK opener Dave Williams believes the Swans top-order must fire to stop the Rand juggernaut in Saturday’s grand final at Burrumbuttock.

With the Pigeons chasing their sixth straight flag, Williams put the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of himself, Zac Barrenechea, Darcy and Trent I’Anson and Eddy Ziebarth to fire.
“Our top-order needs to make good runs,” Williams said.
“Rand’s got a strong batting order and go all the way down the list.
“They’ve knocked us off the past two seasons so hopefully we can put it all together on Saturday.”
Rand’s build-up to the grand final has been spot on with the Pigeons last dropping a game on January 13.
Brothers Mark and Chris Kreutzberger and Brayden and Clint Ralston shape as key performers in their quest to claim another title.
Darcy I’Anson, who claimed a hat-trick in last year’s grand final, looms as a big threat with the visitors expected to take few risks against his bowling.
In division two, Walla host Oaklands.
The association’s presentation day will be held at Burrumbuttock on Sunday, March 18.
