The location of a crime scene established in Corowa after a man was stabbed to death was frequented by police often, neighbours say.

A number of houses on Vera Street, after the intersection with Walker Street, were cordoned off by police following an incident at midday on Saturday.
A 41-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds and later died in hospital, while a 33-year-old man also suffering stab wounds remains in hospital.
A 42-year-old was arrested by police and taken to Corowa police station.
The daughter of an elderly woman who lives across the road witnessed police arresting a man about 1pm.
“There were a couple police officers with him, he had no shirt on and was taken away in handcuffs,” she said.
“My mum’s really scared – she moved here to be closer to town – but the police are there at least once a week.”
She said her mother’s insurance had risen, and a house on the corner of Vera and Walker had been for sale for the 12 months her mother had been living on the street.
“The first section of the street is okay,” she said.
“She kept ringing me when things were happening, so we installed a safety button that she can press for help.
“We’ll be putting her house on the market.”
A Honda CR-V with Victorian plates could be seen marked with police tape and was towed away from the scene about 4pm.
Charges are yet to be laid.

One man is dead and another is in a critical condition after an incident in Corowa.
About 12.05 pm on Saturday emergency services were called to a home on Vera Street, Corowa, after reports of an affray.
A 41-year-old man was conveyed to Corowa Hospital suffering serious stab wounds and head wounds and died at hospital.
Another 33-year-old man was also also taken to hospital and is being treated for stab wounds and internal bleeding.
He is understood to be in a critical condition.
A 42-year-old man arrested at the scene by police from has been taken to Corowa Police Station. Inquiries continue.
The men are believed to be known to each other.
A crime scene has been established at the address which will be examined by forensic specialists.
