The 2004 premiership player will coach and play at John Flower Oval after spending 2010 on the sidelines while he was assistant-coach at SANFL club South Adelaide.
Hollands beat his former premiership coach Richard Bence to the job.
Meanwhile, Yarrawonga premiership coach Bob Craig is poised to make a coaching comeback with Ovens and Murray league rival North Albury next year.
The Hoppers are expected to announce Craig, who coached the Pigeons to the 2006 premiership, has emerged from a field of five candidates to land the job to succeed Travis Hodgson.
