The in-form Sharks held their opponents goalless for the first-half and would have gained confidence for next weekend’s showdown against Pool Pirates.
Georgia Polkinghorne was a constant threat in attack with three goals while Leah Dodd and Sophie McLeod scored twice each.
Brooke Dickie also turned in a strong game.
Albury Tigers were best served by goalkeeper Tegan Roberts.
In a remarkable performance, Dodd won Sharks’ best and fairest for the 16th year in a row on Friday night.
Shark Ben Douglas won the mens’ top honour.
In the men’s A grade, Albury Tigers withstood a late charge from Pool Pirates to win 5-4.
Jimmy Scannell was outstanding for the victors with support coming from Josh Land.
Steve Sloane and Nash Clark rallied hard for Pool Pirates as they fought back from 5-1 down at the final change.
Albury Tigers will be shooting for their fourth successive flag at WAVES on Sunday, but will start underdogs against minor premier Sharks.
“It’s good to get through to another grand final, but Sharks are a really strong side,” Scannell said.
“They have been the team all year and we will need to play well.”
