Firefighters managed to contain the blaze, which started about 3.30am on Sunday, before spreading into trees.
Detective Senior Constable Tracy Jarrott said the fire was being treated as suspicious.
“It was very, very lucky that the wind didn't get a hold of it,” she said.
“We're looking for any witnesses or anyone who can assist us to contact us.
"We don't know how it's been lit at this stage.”
