“I can only go on what I’ve seen, they’re the only team to beat us this year,” he said.
“In my opinion, North was the best team we came up against.”
It’s hard to argue with Craig’s logic, given Wodonga made one of its lowest totals in years, a paltry 104 in the final round.
“They work well together, they brought the bowlers on at good times,” he said of the preliminary final.
“And when they’re batting, they just suffocate you, they’re very patient and they don’t take too many risks at all, so it’s very hard to get them out.”
Despite the late losses, Craig expects few changes next season.
“I hope I’ve got a very similar team and just the same attitude as what we’ve had this year,” he said.
“We’ve all given 100 per cent and it’s easy when you’re all mates.”
