The powerful training partnership of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig from Euroa scored its first win in the $40,000 Adrian Ledger Memorial (2400m) with Young Hostess.
The four-year-old mare had more than three lengths to spare on her rivals as she backed up a previous third placing at Pakenham over 2500m.
“She loves getting out over a bit of trip,” Dabernig said.
“At her last start the writing was on the wall.
“It is a great race to win the Adrian Ledger Memorial .
“They are a great racing family and we are thrilled to win the race.”
