The Cup’s official caterer, Fiona Landy, said 306 in the committee marquee dined on a three-course menu inspired by local produce.
They were served Butt’s Gourmet Smokehouse smoked lamb rump with a Greek salad; eye fillet beef with a chimichurri sauce and a warm salad of cauliflower, sweet potato and pumpkin; and Gundowring Ice Cream bambinos.
Ms Landy’s team of 30 staff also catered for private marquees, the public kiosk and barbecue marquee on their biggest day of the year.
And there will be little downtime; Ms Landy’s team will cater for a breakfast at Woomargama Station early Saturday morning.
