A Yarrawonga man last week pleaded guilty to collecting and selling wood from Crown land.
Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning spokesman Greg Chant said there were daily and yearly limits and trees could not be cut down in any circumstances.
“Firewood can only be collected from designated areas during the autumn and spring firewood collection seasons,” he said.
