Mayor Anna Speedie launched the Wodonga’s arm of Libraries Change Lives – a Victorian wide project by Public Libraries Victoria Network and State Library of Victoria.
Mayor Anna Speedie said the Wodonga library offers vital community services.
She said it provides digital connectivity, support for all kinds of literacy, universal access to information and government services.
“No other institution offers the same personal help, equal and free access to information, social engagement, and sense of safety and belonging,” she said.
“Wodonga Library offers an incredible breadth of services to support community members at every stage of life."
Wodonga Library boasts 40,049 items in its collection. In 2017 it welcomed 145,541 visitors and hosted 560 public programs, attended by almost 20,000 people.
