The Wangaratta truckie won two categories and also took home a silver in the Wangaratta Truck Show and Rodeo at the city’s showgrounds on Saturday.
“I won people’s choice and best local owner-driver within 25 kilometres, and second in best-presented Kenworth by an owner-driver,” Mr Snell said.
“It being a local truck probably help – I wasn’t expecting to win.”
It was Mr Snell’s first time entering in a truck show in his 42 year-career.
“The winners got out in the arena and did a few laps, there were about 19 different categories,” he said.
“It was good to catch up with all the drivers and swap stories.
“The truck show was really great and I think the event went well.”
Thousands of people enjoyed the return of the rodeo to Wangaratta, attended by the Gill and Brothers contractors for the first time.
