The Graduate Certificate in Case Management and Coordinated Care, and Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership and Resilience, will both fall under the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences.

Associate Professor Jenny Kent said the courses would be run at six CSU campuses.

She said industry and community representatives had helped develop the courses during workshops focused on community resilience and recovery and the future of health and human services.

"We are so grateful that people from our communities and relevant industries were so willing to share their time, knowledge and passion to help us gain valuable insights and help determine the direction we could take in developing our course offerings," she said.

"We wouldn't have these two amazing new courses without the support and commitment of our community representatives."

Associate Professor Kent said the Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership and Resilience was driven by a community need for professional development.

"What came back strongly in the workshops was that we need connected, capable leaders with a strong understanding of communities and a passion for building resilience," she said.

"We knew we couldn't deliver was what needed in a traditional delivery model, so we're doing something different.

"We've developed a suite of micro-subjects that can be taken as one-off professional development units, or can be gradually stacked together to build towards a full graduate certificate qualification."

Through the Graduate Certificate in Case Management and Coordinated Care students will gain an understanding of the diverse sectors that case management skills are utilised in, including disability services, aged care, criminal justice and professional health and allied health.
