CROSS Fergie (with Will.I.Am hanging around), Ke$ha and a little of Nicki Minaj’s attitude, and you just scrape the surface of pop’s newest star Dev.
The 22-year-old came to our attention thanks to a juicy hook on Far East Movement’s club hit Like A G6 and now delivers a lively debut steeped in dub-step, hip-hop and club-pop.

With tracks that range from middle east-inspired dance (Breathe) to soulful yet beat-heavy hip-hop (Getaway) and startling alternate pop-rock (the excellent Take Her From Me) and even folk (Shadows), The Night The Sun Came Up isn’t boring.
The club-thumping Lightspeed will be a single and hopefully Australia latches onto the ultra- catchy US smash In The Dark.
