The 7.10am train from Melbourne and 5.20pm train from Albury were replaced with buses yesterday following the discovery of the fault on Monday night.
V/Line spokeswoman Clare Steele said those services would remain as coach runs today and tomorrow.
She said another set of carriages was already in for a regular maintenance check and they would resume on Friday.
Ms Steele was unable to say when the service with broken springs would be repaired and reintroduced for service.
She said the comfort of passengers would have been affected by keeping the faulty carriage in service.
