Competing in Stean’s Mitsubishi FTO, the duo finished the invitation-only three-day event with 1538 points, just 75 points in arrears of the winning Audi R8 of Kevin Ryan and Graeme Vaux.
It was the first time in the navigator’s seat for ex-Albury boy Murphy who racked up 324 points for 13th in the navigators’ outright pointscore.
