About the Role
Servicing multiple Health and Aged care facilities in the Albury Wodonga region and surrounding areas, this role will see you performing various general kitchen duties throughout your day.
This position will be on a casual, on-call basis and shift work may be required.
Your duties will include:
• Disinfecting all kitchen equipment regularly using standardized procedures.
• Food preparation in accordance with facility instructions and procedures
• Transferring required items from stock to the kitchen area.
• Delivering meals to resident rooms and run servery bays.
• Participating in cooking along with chef and ensuring food is preserved at specified guidelines according to HACCP guidelines.
• Cooking quantities of food as directed by the chef using standard HACCP guidelines and compliant procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible and a team player with experience in the following:
• A minimum of 12 months experience in Hospitality
• Confidence in the use of Knives and Kitchen Aids
• Certificate in Food Hygiene (essential)
• Experience in Aged Care an advantage
• General knowledge and experience with texture modification, temperature testing and dietary requirements.
The successful candidate must have drivers’ licence and reliable transport.
