WITH the likes of supermodel Jennifer Hawkins wading in to swimwear fashion labels, it's no surprise the design of our humble Aussie cossies has come a long way.
This season many of the swimsuits - both bikinis and one-pieces - are leaning towards the feminine, the floral, the flouncy and frilly.
You'll also see modest boy-leg briefs teamed with halter neck tops and figure-flattering one-pieces that are more stylish than skimpy.
There is a distinct nod to 1950s styling, the era the bikini first made a splash around poolsides and across beaches.
Bows, gathered bustlines and even the odd feather grace the fabric of modern-day swimmers, elevating them from purely functional to highly fashionable.
Those who want a racier edge without the frills can find streamlined silhouettes with the odd mesh insert.
It's certainly going to be a vibrant summer across the Border for those who dare to bare.
