The range of talent has left producers wanting more from the region for next year’s series.
Contestants from Echuca and Yass were at Albury Entertainment Centre with executive producer Jonathon Summerhayes thrilled with the amount of talent the region had to offer.
“There is such creativity and diversity in the region, it just goes to show that you don’t have to be in the city to be able to cultivate great talent,” Mr Summerhayes said.
“Coming here has paid dividends ... the trip has been worth it.”
Wagga’s Justine Hogan was thrilled to be chosen for the next round of auditions.
The nursing graduate has been performing in local pubs, as well as cabaret shows.
“My story is pretty cliched really, I’ve
always loved singing.” Miss Hogan said.
“But I really want to sing for my career, it keeps me sane.”
