Sgt Chris Hepner, of Bright police, said two young male tourists were walking to Eurobin Falls about 200 metres from Mount Buffalo Road, about 4pm.
He said one of the men slipped down the waterfall and into the rock pool at the bottom, hitting his head and knocking himself out.
“He was submerged underwater for one minute before being pulled out by his mate.”
Paramedics revived the man before he was flown to a Melbourne hospital for treatment.
Sgt Hepner believes the injuries were not life-threatening.
