With temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees across the weekend, matches won’t be played after 2pm today and between 2pm and 5.30pm tomorrow.
Singles fixtures will now start at 8am and go until 11am while doubles matches will start from 11am and run until about 1.30pm.
Doubles will also be played from 5.30pm tomorrow afternoon due to it being the first day of competition of the main draw.
Officials haven’t made a call on match times on Monday and Tuesday but it is expected doubles fixtures will be held from 6pm onwards.
“Grass courts don’t have lights but we can play doubles from about 6pm ... until dark,” tournament referee Steve Gibson said.
